Position: Senior Operations Engineer (Night Shift - 2-Year Contract)

Key Accountabilities:

• Supports the Manager Engineering Operations(MEO) in addressing engineering operational problems and developing short- and long-term solutions for such by identifying and addressing technical issues, monitoring On Time Performance results; investigating delays/AOG and suggestions from various internal departments and working partners; oversight of outsourced services providers to ensure high level of services are received.

• Monitors and manages transit operations with night shift duties.

• Anticipates operational problems and proactively addresses such by studying operating targets, modes of operation, service provider limitations; monitoring ITM, MRO and FTM performance.

• Review in-scope / out-scope spare support for the fleet, work with CX and HXITM to acquire the spares.

• Performs ramp and line operations observations in Hong Kong and line stations.

• Ensures line station readiness and capability to support AHK fleet, both scheduled and ad-hoc operations. Ensure adequate spares/tooling support for line stations, notify FTM to implement the requirement.

• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with Airworthiness requirement and regulations.

• Provides operational management information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating and engineering data and trends. Prepare AOG/Delay analysis for EXCOM meetings.

• Responsible for projects that may be assigned by the MEO from time to time.

• Deputizes for the MEO in his or her absence with the support from the Head of Engineering, as may be required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Tertiary Education related to Engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Avionic or other relevant studies)

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in aircraft engineering and maintenance experience, or equivalent

• Technical experience and practical experience (Preferably on aircraft types operated by AHK).

• Good team player with excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent knowledge of airworthiness regulations and advantageous if any of the following have been accomplished. Hong Kong Airworthiness Course, Human Factors Training and Safety Management System Training.

• Meets requirements to obtain driving license of the HKIA restricted area.

• Fluent in conversational and written English.

• Good team player with excellent communication, business, interpersonal, organizational, planning, project management and problem-solving skills.

• Proactive, collaborative, and with good analytical skills and a "Can-do" spirit.
