AHK said farewell to one of its longest serving members in early September when Captain Steve Jones reached retirement age.
After retiring from Cathay Pacific Airways at the age of 55, Steve joined AHK as a Specialist Training Captain. His career with AHK spanned 10 years and included a spell as Chief Pilot when the incumbent became indisposed.
Steve was an invaluable asset whose ongoing contribution to AHK will be sorely missed.
Steve is pictured above (2nd from the right) with DFO Captain Andrew Maddox (right), Chief Pilot Captain Eric Dulay (2nd left), and Manager Line Operations Captain Atila Taran (left).
Below a photographic memento of Steve together with a B747-400F that was presented to Steve at his farewell dinner. The photograph, taken after his last flight with AHK, has been autographed by his friends and now former colleagues in AHK.
