AHK supported the first ‘Girls in Aviation Day’, A Women in Aviation International Event on Saturday September 26, 2015.

Kitty Chang, Assistant Manager Training Administration & Crew Control is also one of the Hong Kong chapters board of directors. Together with the chapters volunteers she helped to arrange a school writing competition that culminated in 12 lucky winners enjoying a hands-on day in the AHK A300 Simulator and a guided tour of Cathay Pacific's head offices in Hong Kong.
AHK Director of Flight Operations, Andrew Maddox was supported on the day by Chief Training Captain, Neville Hodges, Deputy Chief Training Captain, Derek Stracey and Manager Line Operations, Captain Atila Taran, who provided the girls with a valuable insight into aviation from a pilot perspective. The winners attended a lecture on aviation concepts and a hand-on experience flying the A300 Simulator.
